2019: Nasarawa Commissioner, others urge prayers for peace, tolerance

ABDULKARIM Kana, the Nasarawa State Attorney- General and Commissioner for Justice, has sued for peace and tolerance among Nigerians, as the country prepares for 2019 general elections.
Kana made the call on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Keffi, Keffi Local Government Area of the state.
He has said that prayers with hardworking were the only key to success, hence the need for people to continue to pray for peace, unity and progress of the country.
The commissioner also urged Nigerians to always be thankful to God, given both human and natural resources of the country which he said were capable of sustaining the populace, compared to other countries.
Kana also advised Nigerians, especially youths, to be hardworking and utilise their God-given potential to achieve greatness and for the development of the country.
Also speaking with NAN, Alhaji Mukhtar Mohammed, an aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) underscored the importance of peace and tolerance to the development of the country.
“My message is for the people of Keffi and Nigerians at large to see themselves as one family and to continue to be law abiding and respect constituted authority.
“This is in the interest of peace and development of the state and Nigeria at large, “he said.
On his part, Mr Mohammed Wada, an aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) also called on Nigerians to be their brother’s keepers, irrespective of the affiliation.
Also speaking, Mr Mohammed Idris, another indigene of the state, urged Nigerians to show love to one another and be just at all times in their dealings with others in the society. (NAN)
