2019 .ng Awards holds June 14

The Nigeria Internet Registration Association, NIRA, a stakeholder-led organisation, has announced that this year ng. Awards will hold on Friday, June 14.
According to NiRA, the awards will recognise and acknowledge those who are contributing to the growth of the .ng domain name registration and promotion of the DNS Industry.
“Using the .ng Awards, NIRA celebrates the achievements and innovation of Nigerian Internet initiatives.
“The 2019 .ng Awards serve to commend and promote the excellent achievements of members, stakeholders and the general public, who contribute towards building a sustainable economy using technology, uplifting the image of .ng locally and internationally and stimulating the development of local content on the World Wide Web,” the organisation said in a statement.
The 2019 .ng Awards is the fourth edition of the .ng Awards, which was launched in 2016 during NiRA’s 10th year Anniversary. “NiRA does not attach any monetary value to the awards, neither is any fee attached to any aspect of the nominations and selections. NiRA does not accept sponsorship or donations for the .ng Awards.
“Nomination and voting is based on the nomination and votes received from the general public and key stakeholders,” NiRA said.
It further said that nominations for the .ng Awards will start on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 and close at midnight on Monday, April 22, 2019.
Members of the public who wish to participate in nominating any organisation or an individual are to note the .ng Awards nomination criteria available on the .ng Awards nomination website. Voting for the shortlisted nominees will commence on Friday, April 26, 2019 and end by midnight on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
