A group, Ajogwa-Eyana Foundation of Isoko Nation Political Forum on Sunday, pledged to mobilize Isoko women to massively vote for Engr. Jonathan Ukodhiko in the 2023 House of Representatives election in Isoko Federal Constituency. 

The group also promised to mobilize women in Isoko nation to vote for the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his Vice, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor, Michael Diden for Senate, the three Isoko PDP House of Assembly Candidates, Ferguson Onwo, Bino Obomowano and Bernard Odior. 

President of the group, Hon. Princess Abigail Elo Oriri made the disclosure immediately after the general meeting of the group hosted by its Isoko South Chapter at Noble Hotel, Oleh. 

According to her, “the PDP Candidates are the most prepared for the task of good governance and effective representation that would see to the actualisation of the dreams of the Isoko women,” 

“Not only do they possess good leadership qualities but they identify with and have been supportive to the development of women in Isoko. 

“We have started mobilising other women in Isoko nation to vote for Pastor Ukodhiko for the Federal House of Representatives, we are confident of his belief in women inclusion and empowerment,” 

The group’s president, Hon Oriri stated that, “As you all know, developed countries that performed better are those who included, more women in governance. 

“And Ukodhiko, and our Governorship and Presidential Candidates are supportive of the 35% Affirmative Action for women in political party leadership and more appointive positions for women. 

“Hence, our collective decision to work enmasse to support and vote for Ukodhiko and all the PDP Candidates, 5 over 5 for women development and empowerment,“ Hon. Oriri added.
