FORMER Delta Energy Commissioner, Pst (Engr.) Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, has explained, he’s contesting for the House of Representatives to unite Isoko Federal Constituency and deliver more dividends of democracy that would make life better for the people.
Ukodhiko stated this last Saturday at his countryhome in Erawha-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area, when he played host to the leadership of the Ukodhiko Support Group (USG).
According to him, “the purpose of me contesting for the House of Representatives Seat is simply to unite Isoko and bring more dividends of democracy to our people.
Pastor Ukodhiko stated that, “Personally, I hate crises and strifes; which are inimical to economic growth and sustainable development of a place
“Unity is very important. And that is why I made a solemn promise to restore unity in Isoko, to unify and bring our people together (Okugbe) and resolve the challenges facing our Constituency
“Yes, It is our sole responsibility to unite Isokonation. We need to set aside our political differences for the overall interests of Isoko.
“Let’s have a rethink, and think Isoko first and, be united for the development of our ethnic nationality, Isoko, and the empowerment of our people
“I believe, by God’s grace, as the next member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, I’ll be in a better position to foster unity amongst our people, and improve their socio-economic wellbeing through policies and programmes
“The reality is, is only when we are united we can realized our manifest destiny of greatness and our collective political aspirations as a people, and we are in a good position
“When I am elected in the Hosue of Representatives, I’ll work very hard to promote Isoko unity, and walk the path of political irredentism, together with other leaders, galvanize our people in the right direction .
“The foregoing are my concerns, which I must reiterate here today, I am commmited to the unity of our party, the PDP, our people and clans in Isoko for advancement and development.
Engr. Ukodhiko called on the people of Isoko Federal Constituency to leave sentiments and work together as a team to promote unity, peace, and develop our Isokonation
“As we all know, Nigeria is at the crossroads; the people are ready to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its misrule and misgovernance which has brought untold hardship on the people and crippled our economy”
The PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency, Ukodhiko stressed the importance of Isoko voting for all PDP Candidates and him being the best amongst the lot of candidates to represent Isoko in the National Assembly
Noting that, “Isokonation needs to send a patriotic Isokoman that is selfless to empower the people, and industrialized Isoko , and I have the will and the capacity to do so
“Let me also re-affirm, today , I am not contesting for the House of Representatives to be Isoko leader; as I am not worthy to be an overall leader
“I’ll work together with all leaders of our party in Isoko for the development of our Constituency and the empowerment of all constituents “ – Ukodhiko added.
