A former Governor of Oyo State, Sen. Rasheed Ladoja, has endorsed Mr Oluwatobi Fatoki, as the candidate of Accord party for Lagelu State Constituency seat.
Ladoja, also a founding father of Accord, gave his nod for Fatoki’s candidacy when the candidate and his father, with some of his supporters, visited the former governor at his Bodija residence in Ibadan.
The former governor, while accepting the candidacy of Fatoki, said that a brilliant and people’s friendly politician, like Fatoki, “is fit for the position”.
Ladoja described Fatoki as a young man who has what it takes to represent Lagelu State Constituency in the 10th assembly.
He advised the Accord candidate to follow his positive steps in politics and the positive steps of his father, which had endeared him to the heart of many.
Ladoja, who is also the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, thereafter, poured out his blessings on him and gave his support for the party’s victory.
Earlier, Fatoki, a lawyer and public affairs analyst, said the visit was to receive the blessings of Ladoja, who brought Accord to Oyo State.
According to him, the visit is also to intimate him on the good plans he has for his constituents, if given their votes.
“The political journey of Sen. Ladoja has always been his guide as a young politician and always looking up to him as his political father,” Fatoki said.
He promised that effective and quality representation would be his watchword, if he eventually got the people’s votes and won the election in 2023.
Fatoki said he would improve on grassroots democracy and see to the emergence of laws that would bring Lagelu and Oyo State to a more positive limelight upon winning the election.
The Accord candidate also urged his supporters and the entire people of Lagelu State Constituency to count him worthy to be their next representative in the state House of Assembly.(NAN)
