2023 Nigeria Ladies Open: Southern zone win LGAN zonal championship

SANDRA Emina and Ohio Ugbehu of the Southern zone have emerged winners of the  four  zonal championship at the 2023 Nigeria Ladies Open in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that they amassed a total of 170 gross with a nett score of 86 and 84 respectively.

They were closely followed by Sandra Komakech and Blessing Obaje of the Northern Zone, who also amassed 170 gross with 86 and 84 nett, but were beaten on count-back.

Helen Ayo and Nnena Ahube of the Eastern Zone settled for the third position after posting a gross score of 174 with 87 and 87 nett.

Hauwa Adamu and Susan Marcus of the Western Zone finished at the bottom of the log with 176 gross and 90 and 86 nett respectively.

Also in a match past , the Northern Zone impressed the judges the most as they emerged winners with a total score of 355.

The Eastern Zone came second with a total of 313, while the Western Zone with 283 points and the Southern Zone with 254 points finished third and fourth respectively.

The 2023 Nigeria Ladies Open which is being organised by LGAN began on Thursday and is expected to end on Sunday at the TYB International Golf Resort and Country Club, Abuja.(NAN)
