2023: Ogorugba’s daughter meets Tiv indigenes, drums support for PDP

THE daughter of the Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Isoko North Chapter, Roselyn Ogorugba-Bunde has urged Tiv people of Benue residing in Delta to vote for the party’s candidates in the State in the 2023 general elections .

Ogorugba-Bunde, an engineer, made the appeal on Saturday at Ughelli, while speaking with natives of Tiv who are in support of Engr. Jonathan Ukodhiko for House of Representatives, Isoko Federal Constituency.

According to her, “the PDP administration in Delta State has performed excellently well to the benefits of both indigenes and non indigenes in the State”

“As a result, for continuous benefits of the dividends of democracy from the goodwill of the PDP administration in the State, then it’s important to support and vote the PDP”

“Yes,It’s important for you to rally with indigenes in Isoko and elsewhere in the State in support for PDP Candidates to not only return the PDP back to power at the Central in Abuja, but for purposeful leadership and effective legislative representation that will be beneficial to everyone“ 

She assured, “a vote for the PDP; for Atiku Abubakar for president, Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor, Jonathan Ukodhiko for House of Representative is a vote for the ending of insecurity, hunger and unemployment in the country“

She stated, “Engineer Jonathan Ukodhiko who we are supporting to win the Isoko Federal Constituency Seat in the House of Representatives has the capacity to give quality representation that will impact positively on the lives of the people“

Stating further, “Ukodhiko’s priorities include human capital development and social empowerment, health, amongst other programmes and projects that will make life more meaningful and better for both indigenes and non-indigenes in the Isoko Federal Constituency”

Mrs Roselyn Ogorugba-Bunde appreciated the people of Tiv numbering over 800 who are registered members of her support group for being supportive to the aspirations of Ukodhiko, and candidates of the PDP for next year’s elections.

“Let me assure today, you will be fully carried along, well mobilized for our party’s campaigns, and you will be economically empowered after the general elections” Mrs Roselyn promised

Also speaking, the daughter of the Chairman, PDP, Otibio Ward 13, Mrs Laura Onaibre Omaka stated, “ Ukodhiko is an accessible, humble and reachable politician, who as a lawmaker will be responsive to people of all tribes and tongues in Isoko“

Responding, on behalf of the Tiv people in Ughelli North, Tor-Doki, the traditional king, and Iyorum John, the Chairman, commended Mrs Ogorugba-Bunde and her team for identifying with them and the pledge to see to their aspirations . 

They assured, the Tiv Community in the State would come out en mass to support and vote for all PDP candidates including Engr Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko for the House of Representatives

Highpoint of the meeting was the announcement of Mr Duka Andrew dumping the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), promising to “talk to more APC members on the need to dump the APC that has failed us all, and support the PDP for the rescue of Nigeria”.
