2023: Ukodhiko gets Emevor support for Reps Race

MEMBERS of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emevor Ward 7 have unanimously declared support for the party’s House of Representatives Candidate, Engr. Jonathan Ukodhiko for the 2023 General Elections.
The Ward, at an enlarged meeting, also declared support for the PDP State House of Assembly Candidate for Isoko North State Constituency, Barrister Bernard Odior, Evangelist Michael Diden for Senate, Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor and Atiku Abubakar for President.
The meeting was hosted by the Commissioner representing Isoko Ethnic Nationality on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr Paul Oweh at his country home in Emevor on Saturday.
Dr. Oweh, in his remark, stated that, “the job of all units coordinators and members of the campaign committees inaugurated here today is simply to work for the victory of all candidates of the PDP at the polls”
Oweh, the Deputy Director General, Administration, Delta State PDP Campaign Council, noted, “those feeling aggrieved, we are still talking to them. We are hopeful, soon we will all come together and deliver all candidates of our great party “
“I want to charge you all here today to go out to talk to the people in all of the 17 units, and canvass for votes from those with PVCs in support of all PDP candidates”
Also speaking, the coordinator of the PDP Emevor Ward Campaign Committee, Sir Sylvester Ifode appealed to the people to galvanise support and canvass for votes for Ukodhiko, Odior and all candidates of the PDP.
In his remark, Chairman, PDP, Isoko North Chapter, Deacon Godwin Ogorugba, appealed to the people of Emevor to stand for Ukodhiko who had his secondary school education at James Welch Grammar School in Emevor.
“I want to equally enjoin you all to stand for our House of Assembly Candidate, Odior, a pioneer councilor and immediate past State Legal Adviser of our party,“ Ogorugba said.
Responding, Engr Ukodhiko thanked the people of Emevor for being supportive to the party in past elections, and his House of Representatives aspirations.
The former Delta Energy Commissioner, Ukodhiko, assured he would not let down the people of Emevor and Isoko nation for the support being given to him.
He reiterated his aspirations was borne out of the need to unify Isoko, bring the people of Isoko together and work for the development of the Federal Constituency.
“I want to appeal that you remain steadfast with the party, and work for the victory of all candidates of our party, the PDP, and you will be duly rewarded,” Ukodhiko said.
The meeting was witnessed by the Chairman, Isoko North Council, Hon Christian Iteire, pioneer Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Emmanuel Okoro, the State legal adviser of the PDP, Barr. Isaac Atikueke, former Chairman, Isoko North Council, Chief Emmanuel Edevor, former Vice Chairman, Isoko North Council, Chief Peter Ibiri, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Nelson Egware, among others.
