25-year-old man docked for alleged sexual assault on teenager

A 25-year-old man, Kelvin Opuene, was on Monday docked in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedlly sexually assaulting a teenager.
The police charged Opuene with sexual assault.
He, however pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate L. J. K. Layeni, who gave the order, adjourned the matter until Dec. 28 for legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Dr Simon Uche told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Nov. 4 at Iba Housing Estate in Ojo.
He alleged that the defendant attacked the teenager (name withheld).
The offence, he said, contravenes the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015. (NAN)
