2,500 yet to vote at Govt. Sec. Sch polling unit Lugbe

MORE than 2,500 voters at Govt Sec School Lugbe are yet to cast their votes, as no materials and INEC presence were noticed as at 11:25 a.m.
A News Agency of Nigerian (NAN) check at the venue of the polling unit observed voters where angry and expressed worry at the situation.
A trader, Mallam Idris Yousuf, said they were sure of the unit as their voting area but that INEC officials were late.
“Since 7:00 a.m, people have been here and they go back home, it is only here and we are sure this is our voting centre as other nearby units had materials and INEC presence and security presence,” he said.
Stella Ugwu, a voter said since 7:00 a.m., she had been on the alert and would wait as she had always voted at the centre.
Ayo Adedeji expressed optimism to vote, as açcording to him, the INEC said whoever was on the queue would vote, even if the time elapsed, “so we are waiting, but it is strange how other centres in Lugbe were already voting”.
Other residents who complained said they believed they would vote because no news was sent to them that the centre was cancelled.
