283rd meeting of the MPC holds next week - CBN

THE Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has announced Monday, January 22, 2022, as the date for the start of its 283rd meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee, MPC, in Abuja.

The CBN noted in a public notice published on its website that the 283rd Meeting of the MPC is scheduled to hold follows:

“Day 1: Monday, January 24, 2022 Time: 10.00 a.m. Day 2: Tuesday, January 25, 2022 Time: 8.00 a.m. Venue: MPC Meeting Room, 11th Floor, CBN Headquarters, Abuja.”

The MPC is the highest policy-making committee of the apex bank with the following mandate: Review economic and financial conditions in the economy.

Determine appropriate stance of policy in the short to medium term.

Review regularly, the CBN monetary policy framework and adopt changes when necessary.
