3 OPC members detained over arrest of Iskilu Wakil released

The Oyo State government and Gani Adams, leader of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, has intervened to secure the release of three of its members detained by Oyo Police Command over the arrest of Iskilu Wakili, suspected Fulani warlord.
They were released on released on bail on Tuesday, March 9, at Iyaganku police station around 5.40pm.
Wakili was arrested alongside three others in Ayete in Ibarapa North after several attempts on Sunday, March 7, by OPC members.
The police, however, detained Dauda Kazeem, Awodele Adedigba and Ramon Hassan shortly after the OPC handed over the suspected kidnap kingpin.

The three detained OPC members were released in the presence of Rotimi Oguntunde, Oyo coordinator of OPC , and Ademola Akeem Ige, special adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, and OPC lawyer.
