35-yr-old docked for allegedly stealing cellphone worth N245,000

ONE 35-year-old Afeez Aderibigbe, was on Thursday docked in a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing a cellphone worth N245,000.
Aderibigbe, whose address was not provided, was charged with stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Friday, at 12 noon, at Ogunpa market, Ibadan.
Amusan said the defendant stole the Infinix cellphone belonging to one Taofeek Amudat, without her consent.
He said the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The court president, Mrs Moji Aworemi granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She thereafter adjourned the case until Aug. 8, for hearing. (NAN)(
