5th fifth edition of Cyber ​​Africa Forum to hold in Cotonou, in Benin, on 24th, 25th of June

THE Cyber ​​Africa Forum, CAF, platform of influence given for the analysis of numerical data and cyber security in Africa, announces the 10th edition of its 5th edition in Cotonou, in Benin, 24 and 25 June 2025.

Furthermore, organized with the sources of Ministère de l’Economie et des Finances et du Ministère du Numérique et de la Digitalisation du Benin, reunites the highest authorities of the region, the CEOs of business leaders, disruptive startups, and well, during two days consecrated to numerical resilience and the strengthening of collaboration public-privé.

In four years, the Cyber ​​Africa Forum, CAF, attracted more than 6,000 participants from more than 54 countries, including more than 80 business leaders in Africa and internationally, from influential financial actors, as well as from the Ministres du Numérique et des startups.

The objective of the event is to accelerate the numerical transformation of Africa, to strengthen public-private partnerships, to combat cyber threats, to exploit the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI), and to stimulate les collaborations across the continent. Organized just now in Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire, this event marks a significant tour in the most popular Cotonou for its fifth edition.

Le Bénin has brought about in the last few years a remarkable dynamism in the domain of numbers, favoring the emergence of structural projects that have become a leader in the field of innovation. The numerous initiatives carried out by the Ministère du Numérique et de la Digitalisation through the Agence des Systèmes d’Information et du Numérique (ASIN), also which is a national strategy for AI and mega-données, témoignent of the government vision seen making the number an essential part of it economic and social progress. From this perspective, the Ministère de l’Economie et des Finances et le Ministère du Numérique et de la Digitalisation du Bénin apportent leur soutien à l’événement.

« The Cyber ​​Africa Forum constitutes a strategic opportunity to strengthen cyber security in the regional sector, to consolidate our involvement in positioning Benin as an acteur clé in matière de securité numérique. We are very enthusiastic about the idea of ​​participating in this five edition and determined by sharing our expertise on the challenges and opportunities of cyber pay in Africa. »

Franck Kié, Commissioner General of CAF, affirmed:
« Organizing the fifth edition of CAF in Benin souligne not only the central role of what pays as much as leader of numerical innovation in Western Africa, but also our collective ambition to strengthen pan-African cooperation. This is also an essential platform to encourage transnational collaborations, and we also have the opportunity to mobilize even more decision-makers, managers, startups and financiers. Ensemble, we have the opportunity to act as a concrete figure and position Africa as a veritable champion of numbers on the world stage. »

The Forum here awaits more than 1,000 participants to meet in the light, through conferences, round tables and business rendezvous of solutions to learn about the new insights of the sector and take full advantage of the opportunities to come. The discussions border on the need to create a harmonious regulatory framework, the importance of investments in digital infrastructures, greentech, the development of artificial intelligence, the strengthening of local talent skills, the growth of startups, the improvement of services numbers and existing infrastructures, as well as the security of businesses and organisations. E-governance will also be a suitable solution, ensuring inclusive and effective numerical management.

This edition of the Forum will continue to address the role of inclusion through initiatives related to Cyber ​​Africa Women, which aims to promote the participation of women in the current sector. The activities tell us that a new hackathon and a crisis management exercise for the managers are proposed in the same way, reinforcing the engagement in innovation and preparation to face contemporary challenges. Furthermore, the evolution of the role of the DSI will be explored through the CAF CIO CISO CLUB, favoring the changes among cyber security experts in the best practices and strategies to adopt.

By placing the accent on artificial intelligence, we seek to unleash the innovative power of Africa. The fifth edition of the Cyber ​​Africa Forum (CAF) promises to mobilize the most influential leaders, an in-depth reflection on the specific actions of the numerical sector on the African continent as well as numerous business opportunities.
