7 ships expected with petroleum products at Lagos port

THE Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Tuesday said that out of the 20 ships expected at the Lagos Port Complex, seven were carrying petroleum products.

The NPA listed the petroleum products as butane gas, petrol and automobile gasoline.

It said that the remaining 13 ships expected at the port were carrying bulk salt, containers, bulk sugar, sulphur, bulk wheat, bulk urea, palm oleum and frozen fish.

The NPA said the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex from Feb. 21 to March 4.

It also reported that three other ships were waiting to berth at the port with petrol, general cargo and containers.

The organisation said that 18 other ships had arrived at the port and were discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, containers, bulk sugar, bulk fertiliser, trucks, frozen fish, petrol, bulk gypsum, butane gas and bulk urea. (NAN)
