80th Birthday: Kola-Daisi eulogises Olubadan’s exemplary values

 MR Kolapo Kola-Daisi, the Senatorial candidate of Accord for Oyo South, has lauded the devotion and unwavering commitment of Oba Olalekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, to the development of Ibadanland.

Kola-Daisi gave the commendation in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday in Ibadan on the 80th Birthday celebration of Balogun.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Balogun, who represented Oyo Central in the Senate from 1999 to 2003 was installed as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan in March.

NAN reports that he was a former presidential aspirant on the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP) and governorship candidate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.

Kola-Daisi said that the traditional ruler’s affection and unwavering commitment to the people of Ibadan had been very remarkable.

“Your prodigious erudition, your generous spirit and the joy with which you approach life have all contributed to this beautiful moment as you celebrate your 80th birthday,” he said.

The senatorial candidate prayed that would God grant the traditional ruler long life in excellent health.

“I join all proud sons and daughters of Ibadanland, the entire Yoruba nation, Nigeria and the global community to celebrate you this day.

“May you live long in excellent health,” Kola-Daisi said. (NAN)
