TOS Funerals, a private mortuary located within the premises of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, has donated 18 modern emergency beds to the hospital.

According to a statement signed by the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Anifowoshe Bello, on Wednesday in Lagos, the donation was made by Mrs Taiwo Ogunshola, wife of late Mr Abiodun Ogunshola.

Bello said Mr Ogunshola, who passed on 15 years ago, started TOS Funerals as a Private Partnership Programme with the Lagos State Government in 2002.

“In memory of the late Abiodun Olalekan Ogunshola, the Ogunshola family, led by the doyen, Mrs Taiwo Ogunshola, recently donated 18 Modern Emergency beds to LASUTH, “ she said.

The Chief Medical Director, LASUTH, Prof. Adewale Oke said that the partnership between LASUTH and TOS Funerals had been yielding a lot of benefit to both parties, with mutual understanding and tremendous accomplishment.

Also, the Commissioner for Health, Lagos State, Dr Jide Idris, said the donation would assist the efforts of the government toward achieving the goals of providing quality healthcare to Lagosians.
“I assure you that the donated beds will be put to proper use by the hospital,” the Commissioner said.

In her remarks, the wife of late Ogunshola, Mrs Taiwo Ogunshola, said that she was grateful that God Almighty had filled her life with His love and presence.

“I thank the government for keeping to their terms on the Public and Private Partnership Programme with TOS Funerals.

“You have been fair in your decisions and your presence at this dedication ceremony attests to your exemplary leadership qualities and love for the people of the state, irrespective of their tribe, race, religion or creed.

“I also appreciate the CMD and staff of the hospital for their unparalleled support which has made our continuous stay in this facility worthwhile.

“This has enabled us to continue to provide world-class funeral services to the public,” Ogunshola said.
