A step towards Building Sustainable Peace and Promoting a Culture of Peace in Western Africa

ON June 22, ‘HWPL Western Africa Peace Development Forum; Graduation Ceremony of 2024 HWPL LP Facilitator Training on June 22nd by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light, HWPL, a South Korea-based international peace organization.

Attended by 136 people from 120 organizations, the Africa team showed the results of the training for 7 weeks, Western Africa Peace Initiatives from 2021 to 2024 and future plans during the meeting.

HWPL Legislate Peace, LP, Facilitator Training encourages participants to implement practical peace initiatives targeting citizens longing for peace in their local communities based on the ‘Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War, DPCW’.

DPCW is a declaration proclaimed by the HWPL embodying the principles and measures for preventing and resolving conflicts and sustaining a peaceful global society.

The graduates of the training will be empowered as HWPL Peace Leaders and Peace Builders to cease wars and build a sustainable world of peace with HWPL by spreading the culture of peace.

Clement Iorver Iornongu, the Executive Director of International Centre for Peace Charities and Human Development, INTERCEP, said:

“We’ve localized the 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of DPCW in our communities through the 2024 HWPL LP Facilitator Training. As we implement and develop these peace initiatives, we will be contributing to the adoption of DPCW in the United Nations and spread the culture of peace.”

Margaret Chichi Nkire, the Founder of Leadership Empowerment and Development Innovation Initiative Africa, LEADIN AFRICA, said:

“LP Facilitator Training has greatly enhanced my understanding of the importance of legislating peace through the DPCW, which is crucial for achieving sustainable development of peace. Promoting the DPCW globally will contribute to the establishment of intensive international law.”

An HWPL official mentioned that the awareness of peace will be heightened through cooperation with both governments and non-governmental organizations, aiming to expand sustainable peace initiatives in every local community.
