AbdulRazaq appoints Dr Malik as Head, Hospital Management Board

GOV. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has appointed Dr Abdulraheem Malik, as the new Head of the state’s Hospital Management Board.
Mr Rafiu Ajakaiye, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, announced this in a statement on Friday in Ilorin.
He stated that Malik, a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), replaced Saad Aluko, whom the governor commended for his four years of exemplary services to the state.
According to him, until his appointment, Malik was the Managing Director of a popular pharmaceutical chain, Rotamedics, a household name in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical industry.
He explained that the appointee is an indigene of Ilorin, who was educated variously at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, Spain.
Ajakaiye added that Malik was educated in University of Mary, Bismarck, United States; Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Boston, United States; and Walden University, Minneapolis, United States.
“He holds different certificates and licences, such as first and second degrees in Pharmacy, and Doctor of Philosophy Pharmacy (PharmD); Pharmacist Practice Licence (USA); Masters in Business Administration in Healthcare (USA); Masters in International Health Economics and Pharmacy Economics.
“Malik has worked in various health establishments in Nigeria and abroad, and is reputed for his philanthropy and community development efforts,” he said.
The appointment took immediate effect. (NAN)
