Kwara State government establishes 11-man committee to review sales of government property

ABDULRAZAQ AbdulRazag, Kwara State Governor, has raised a committee to review sales of government property carried out by the immediate past administration.

The committee is to be chaired by Senator Ajadi Makanjuola Suleman.

Members of the committee are  AbdulRahman Giwa, Tunji Balogun Alanamu, AbdulRahman Oyinloye, and Umar Jimada.

The others are Ibrahim Salman (director general, Bureau of Lands), Odetokun, A.M. (permanent secretary, General Services), AbdulRaheem Baki (director of Building Services, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development), Shina Mudasir Akorede (director of Admin and Finance, Government House), Kayode O. Ibiyemi (Estate Valuer) and Tunde Aremu (Permanent Secretary, Political, Cabinet and Special Services) who is the secretary.

According to the release signed by the Agboola Olarewaju, deputy chief press secretary to the governor, the committee’s Terms of Reference include: identifying the affected property and beneficiaries, to examine the procedure/processes for disposal/sale and examine whether or not such sales is in conformity with public interest among others.

The release stated further that the committee has two weeks to submit its findings, adding that the appointment is with immediate effect.
