Abe reschedules chieftaincy conferment, congratulates Eze Utuwarikpo, Ukpata Kingdom

THE governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has rescheduled his conferment of Chieftaincy by the Upata People of Ekpeye, which was scheduled to be part of the events marking the commissioning of the Odhor Ukpata Ancient Palace.
Abe, in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, also congratulated Eze Felix Enene Utuwarikpo, Eze Igbu Upata 111 of Ukpata Kingdom on the said Commissioning of the Udhor Upata (Upata kingdom central Palace) by the Upkata people.
He described the event as historical, one in which the Ekpeye people will showcase their rich culture and have the impressive palace open to the public.
Abe, in consultation with the palace, stakeholders, the good people of Ukpata Kingdom, and the need for all-inclusiveness from far and wide, rescheduled his conferment to a date to be announced.
The statement reads: “I want to use this opportunity to thank the good people of Ekpeye for the honour and humbly request that a new date be fixed for the conferment ceremony.
“Once again, I’m grateful and wish you well”.
