AN activist has enjoined Igbo political leaders and gladiators to resist and desist from their pull him down syndrome and if not me no one else is qualified and capable to occupy elective offices.

Evangelist Vincent Ezekwueme, convener and national president, Movement For Election of Nigeria President of Igbo Extraction, made the remarks when executives of the organization led by national secretary Amb. Prof.Justus Chidi, came to commiserates with him over the demise of his father and patriarch Pa Sylvester Obika Ezekwueme.

He called on the Igbo political leaders working against actualization of Nigeria president of Igbo extraction to trace their steps and toe the path of justice, selfless sacrifices, equality, equity, good conscience and morality.

“It is an anathema and great disservice to not only to opposed southeast extraction presidency but most pathetic and despicable is to work against it due to selflessness, unbridled quest for materialism and unpatriotic.

“There is general apprehension that 24yrs of our democratic dispensation,it is turn of southeast zone to produce the president. It is cheering news and hope for new Nigeria of dreams, hope and aspirations is champions by Southern and Middle Belt Forum, Afenifere and Ohaneze. This an indication that Nigerians are united in Unity, integration, inclusiveness, love peaceful co_existence and cohesion.

“It is very unfortunate, unbelievable and detestable that those who should be in the vanguard and forefront are working relentless to truncate it, which God and all men and women of good will and morality forbids.

“It will be a step in the right direction for southeast political, religious and tomorrow leaders to emulates and exhibits unequal and unprecedented patriotism, political sagacity, arithemethic and intelligence of southwest in 2003 when it’s dominant political party Alliance For Democracy (AD) failed to fill presidential candidate as support and solidarity to then President Olusegun Obasanjo presidential candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) this resulted in block votes and his eventual victory at the poll

Most painful and regrettably is some rapacious political leaders and their overzealous supporters engages in character assassination, name callings, unsubstantiated aspersions against the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi.

“Fortunately the electorate are wiser now and know what is best for the interest of Nigerians.

The best and greatest tributes to pay to Late Pa Sylvester Obika Ezekwueme is electing Peter Obi as president which is his last and best wish.

“Earlier, the leader of the delegation Amb. Prof. Justus Chidi commiserated with Ezekwueme family and pray for eternal reposed of his gentle soul. He equally prays to God to give them grace and fortitude to bear the irreparable and irreplaceable lost.
