Actors guild receives committee report on bye-law

EMEKA Rollas, National President, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), on Tuesday, received reports from the AGN bye-law and boat mishap committees.
Rollas disclosed this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
NAN reports the bye-law committee was established to develop professional guidelines, work standards, ethics and safety rules for members of the guild.
The boat mishap committee is tasked with investigating the immediate and underlying causes of the boat accident which occurred on April 10, claiming the lives of five Nollywood practitioners, including Junior Pope.
Rollas expressed gratitude to the committee members for their dedicated efforts and promised to promptly implement their recommendations.
He said the reports were submitted by Emeka Ike, chairman of the bye-law committee and Mr Kelvin Uvo, chairman of the boat mishap committee.
“The presentations were made in the presence of Chief Emmanuel Ogugua, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and members of the bye-law committee and national executive council.
“The members were including Patience Ozokwor, Bimbo Manuel, Tony Ogbetere, AGN National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu, amongst others.”(NAN)
