Dr. Adebisi Olawunmi, a veteran journalist and lecturer and his wife, Adeyinka Olawunmi, marked their 75th and 72nd birthdays with family members, colleagues and friends in attendance on Sunday in Lagos.
In a speech at the ceremony, Dapo Olawunmi, son of the celebrants extoled the beauty of the relationship he has with his father.
“I cherish the relationship so much and I love my dad so much,” he said.
“I want to say that it is your time to rest, it is your time to relax, it is your time to enjoy,” he added as he walked to his parents and danced with them.
The celebrants and their guests watched the recorded videos of the celebrants’ daughters and their grandchildren, who are outside the shores of the country as they praised their parents for their love and support.
They also prayed for their parents and wished them joyful and wonderful years ahead.
The celebrants danced to the admiration of their guests.
Friends and former colleague joined the celebrants to take pictures.
