The wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has called on relevant stakeholders to be proactive and vigilant in the fight against the spread of illicit drugs in Nigeria.
Mrs Buhari made the appeal while declaring open the 2018 biennial Conference of Association of Lady Pharmacists of Nigeria on Thursday in Abuja.
The conference was organised in conjunction with the National Centre for Women Development.
Mrs Buhari who was represented by the former Deputy Governor of Plateau, Mrs Pauline Tallen, decried the devastating effect of drug abuse and urged Nigerians to remain resilient in the fight against drug abuse in the country.
