A former Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, has said President Muhammadu Buhari will win the presidential election, notwithstanding the grandstanding of members of the opposition.

Akpabio, who is the Chairman of the Presidential Support Committee of the All Progressives Congress, said he would deliver 10 million votes to the President.

The former Akwa Ibom State governor said this on Saturday in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, during the inauguration of the South West and states’ coordinators of the PSC.

Akpabio said he was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Buhari would win the February 16 election.

He said Nigerians had found in Buhari, a leader committed and dedicated to the struggle to bring about the desired change in the polity.

He said he had volunteered to ensure that Buhari received not less than 10 million votes from the group.

He said, “We are at various wards and local governments, moving on daily basis, working for the re-election of President Buhari, Vice President Osinbajo and the APC.

“Since campaign has started, God has guaranteed victory for the APC and President Buhari in 2019 general elections.

“We are already winning because we are the champions. This is because we have seen a man who wants to bring change. We have seen a man who has brought back respect for the country and its people.

“The opposition may say whatever they want, but I believe in transitional leadership, represented by President Buhari.” – Punch
