THE authorities of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo, AE FUNAI, have said on Friday that the news of resumption of academic activities in the university is false.
There was a memo circulating on Thursday, March 31, 2022, claiming that the school management would be withdrawing from the ongoing position of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and was purported to have been signed by the university’s registrar.
The fake memo also announced April 11, 2022 as the date of resumption of the students.
But the memo signed by the university’s registrar, Odisa C. Okeke, dissociated the university from the publication and advised the students and the general public to disregard the memo, stating that it did not emanate from the university.
The memo also announced that the date for the continuation of the 2021/2022 academic session would be communicated to the students through the appropriate medium
