REV. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue, has urged the state and Federal Governments to collaborate in addressing insecurity in the state.

Alia made the call in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by Mr Kula Tersoo, Director Communications, Alia/Ode Campaign Organization

He said putting an end to the menace of wanton killings in Benue can be achieved by working together in providing adequate security.

The APC governorship candidate made the appeal following Wednesday’s attack by gunmen on Yelewata community in Guma Local Government Area of the state.

Alia condemned the attack and expressed sadness that lives were lost and the locals made to suffer physical and psychological trauma.(NAN)
