SENATOR Ben Murray-Bruce on Tuesday urged the Peoples Democratic Party’s senators to head to the Senate ‘immediately”.

He made the call on his Twitter handle. Murray-Bruce said the presence of the PDP lawmakers would ensure that the party is able to thwart any attempt to “play a fast one and change the leadership of the Senate”.

Murray-Bruce also called on Nigerians to be  on guard and help them to “preserve the independence of the Senate.”

Earlier on Tuesday, operatives of Department of State Service, and policemen barricaded the homes of the Senate president, Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Also, the Senate has been shut down due to the absence of the leadership of Senate. – Punch
