Amawbia, Awka people commend Obiano on road construction

PEOPLE of Umueze Village, Amawbia have commended Governor Willie Obiano for the link road project from Umueze to Obinagu in Awka.
Akum Obi, a teacher, resident in the area, while speaking to newsmen, expressed his gratitude to the governor for keeping his promise to the people.
He noted that Amawbia benefitted from the good governance of Obiano, and urged him to continue to make his administration the best.
Obi, said the people of Amawbia would forever be grateful to the governor for construction of roads in the area.
Chinwe Okoye, a trader, who also resides in the area and who witnessed the very bad state of the roads, before the intervention of Obiano, thanked God for giving Anambra “a working governor.”
Meanwhile, work has commenced on Esther Obiakor Road, Ifite Village, Awka.
The 7.3 metre dual road project, being handled by Sagee Nigeria Ltd, would be completed before December.
- Duaka, the engineer in-charge, said the road was in a very bad state, before Obiano’s intervention. He promised to deliver on agreed schedule.
Emma Agidi, a civil servant resident of the area, said the governor had been doing his best for the people.
He urged the governor, to always undertake inspection of the project, in order to instil seriousness and urgency in the company handling the construction of the road.
A self-employed resident of the area, Mr Kingsley Afor, said the construction of the road was a welcome development from the state government.
According to him, the road when, completed will help to decongest traffic into Ifite, since it leads to Enugu-Onitsha expressway.
He, however, expressed his happiness for Obiano’s intervention on the road.
Linda Anagor, a house wife, in the area, said she was wishing the governor “God’s guidance and grace’’ to continue in his good works to the state.
