Ambode, others to attend 2nd International Drink Festival — Organisers

Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State will lead other notable Nigerians and captains of industries to the 2nd International Drink Festival that will hold from Thursday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Dec.2.
The organisers’ head of media and publicity, Tiwa Haastrup, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the event would hold at the Balmoral Centre, Federal Place Hotel.
The spokesman listed other prominent Nigerians that would grace the event to include: the Director General (D-G) of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) Chief Remi Ogunmefun, the D-G, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Dr Osita Aboloma.
He added that Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the D-G of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), would also attend.
He said that others would include the representatives of the Federal Internal Revenue Service (FIRS), the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
Haastrup also added that Ambode would declare the event open in his address.
“For this year’s event, we are expecting Gov. Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State to deliver the welcome address.
“This November is the perfect time to discover what is new with different drink brands from all over the world,’’ he said.
Haastrup said that no fewer than 18,000 guests would visit the about 200 brands that would be on display during the period.
“We also expect that it will be an interesting platform for mixologists, professionals in the hospitality industry, nightlife/entertainment connoisseurs, hotel owners/managers to be on display, he said. (NAN)
