Anambra announces additional members of panel probing allegations of Human Rights Abuses

SINCE the announcement of the setting up of a panel to probe allegations of human rights over the years by some security officers in the state, the indigenes of Anambra at home and abroad have been expressing immense support for the action.

  1. Don Adinuba, Commissioner for Information & Public Enlightenment. said in a statement that the Government of Anambra State as appreciative of the tremendous show of solidarity.

He added that in recognition of the critical role which some youth leaders have been playing in the state to uphold human the fundamental rights of our people and their dignity, Governor Willie Obiano has approved that the following individuals join the panel:

  1. Comrade Chijioke Ifediora
  2. Comrade Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu
  3. Comrade Miriam Tochukwu Godspower
  4. Comrade Henry Chibuike Ugwu,

“With more inclusive membership, the government and people of Anambra State expect the panel to do a thorough job for the benefit of all.

“Together we will continue to make Anambra State the Light of the Nation,” he added.
