Anambra becomes investors beautiful bride under governor Soludo

RECENTLY, the government of Anambra State hosted the world in an investment summit widely adjudged to be the first of its kind in the history of the state.
Summits, or roundtable business sessions, had been hosted in the past. But at the Anambra International Convention Centre, Awka, a different scenario played out. Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, walked the talk.
At the Summit venue, a whole session was held to sign and seal deals (MOUs) with more than thirteen investors. The partnerships ranged from prospects in commerce to automobile assemblage. Ultimately, the goal of Governor Soludo is to gradually transit Anambra from importation to production, thus satisfying the local and export markets in tandem.
One of the partnerships secured was between Anambra State government and OMAA Global and Engineering. One day after the Investment Summit, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at Umunya, Oyi Council Area, for the second automobile assembling plant in the state, after Innoson Motors.
Kojo Motors, pioneered by its MD, Mr. Ikenna Oguegbu, is positioned on four hectares of land and will commence official operations in six months’ time, producing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles.
Indeed, Governor Soludo is working the talk, unlike what obtained in the past where MOUs were signed, but projects never took off or became executed. Ndị Anambra should expect the state to turn into a large construction site by the private sector.
The future is here. Solution is here, and ndị Anambra are happy.
