THE Anambra State government has restated a commitment toward achieving all its campaign promises, in spite of the present economic crunch in the country.

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra made the pledge during his ongoing thank you tour at Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area and St Alphonsus Nkpor, Idemili North LGA.

“The mission of my government is to create the enabling environment for businesses to strive, which is geared toward making the state financially independent.”

While soliciting for support ahead of the upcoming general elections, Obiano said that a win for the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, candidates would help him to concentrate on his mandate and avoid distractions from the opposition.

He described unity as the greatest need of the moment on the part of all party faithful, assuring of doing his best to ensure that APGA continued to advance in a stronger and better manner.

Victor Umeh, the senator representing Anambra Central, noted that APGA has been on ground for about 12 years without break.

Onyeka Ibezi, the APGA candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, and Chuka Ezenwune, the member representing Idemili South Constituency in the State House of Assembly, re-assured of victory for all candidates in the election.

Don Unachukwu, the transition committee chairmen, Idemili North and South Council Areas, and Asha Nnabuife respectively observed that APGA had consolidated in their areas.

They assured of a repeat of the victory achieved in the last governorship election in the state.
