DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, said the Police rescued three children from their abductors.

The information was contained in a statement made avaliable to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by Ikenga on Friday in Awka.

Ikenga called on residents of Abia, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers states to help the command to  identify the children, for a possible reunion with their parents.

He named the rescued children as  David Frang (Male), 8, Sarah Frang, (Female), 3, and Chibuchi Sunday (Male), 7.

He said that the children were recovered from individual suspects who were already in their custody.

According to him, the confessions of the suspects shows the children were taken away from their parents in their respective states and brought into Anambra.

He, therefore, urged the public who knows the parents of the children to inform them to come to Anambra State Police Command with proof of parenthood.

The spokesperson assured that proper check by the command would be done before handing the children over to their parents.

Ikenga urged the public to call  the command control room number 07039194332 or 08039334002 for a guide. (NAN)
