THE Anambra State government has re-stated its commitment completing ongoing refurbishment of the Jerome Udoji Road Project in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo council area before the raining season.

Governor Willie Obiano gave the assurance while inspecting work on the 3.5 kilometre road.

The road passes through the popular Ozudaa Market, Eziora and Egbema villages linking the Onitsha-Owerri Road and the Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area.

Obiano expressed delight over a section of the road that had been asphalted, stressing that the contractor had been mobilised to ensure the completion of the project.

He urged the people of Ekwusigo to support his administration in its bid to offer more dividends of democracy to them.

Marcel Ifejiofor, the commissioner for Works, noted that the contractor would ensure delivery of quality job as scheduled.

Adolph Izuegbu, the contractor handling the road project, assured that the road would be completed in three months as against the original one year contract term.
