IN line with Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s efforts to strengthen the digital economy in Anambra State, a one-day interactive session holds today to establish an internet exchange point.
The session will be between the Anambra State ICT Agency, Higher Educational Institutions(HEI) and Internet Service Providers(ISPs).
According to a statement endorsed by Tochukwu and Harrison of the state’s ICT Agency, the session will be facilitated by officials from Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria and the Nigeria Communications Commission(NCC), along with the ICT Agency in Awka, from today.
The statement urged all Vice Chancellors, Heads of IT from any Higher Educational Institution or Chief Executive Officers of Internet Service Providers within Anambra to endeavour to attend the session and contribute their expertise to its success, adding that the benefits of an Internet Exchange Point(IXP) are many and far-reaching, and it’s establishment will be a boom for the digital economy of Anambra State.
“We look forward to a fruitful discussion and encourage all stakeholders to participate so that together, we can make this game-changing initiative a success,” the statement read.
