ANAMBRA State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo may not have heard the last over his abrasive letter to the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has said it has resolved to dump mass waste at the Government House, Awka, Anambra State, on November 25 as a protest against the state governor for attacking Obi.

Soludo had attacked Obi in his article titled, ‘History beckons and I will not be silent (Part 1). Soludo, in the write-up, said the LP presidential candidate was playing a game with his election bid, adding that Obi did not have the necessary structure in place to win the presidency on the LP platform.

Reacting to the development on Monday, COSEYL, an apex socio-political youth group in the South-East, said after a meeting of its members over the issue, it had decided to bring  Soludo back to his senses by declaring Friday 25 November, as a day where all youth in the state would carry their refuse, debris and dump them at the gate of Anambra State Government House.

The group said their protest was intended to serve as a deterrent to other Igbo political officeholders who might want to insult the sensibility of the Igbo nation as Soludo did in the case in question.

The group called on the Anambra State House of Assembly to commence the impeachment of Soludo, stating that four years was too long to wait for a character like Soludo to continue as governor.

The youth group maintained that dumping of refuse in the house of anyone who committed sacrilege against his people was a traditional way of disciplining and teaching lessons to anyone found in Soludo’s situation.

The group’s statement signed by its President General, Goodluck Ibem, read in part, ” We will fill Anambra State Government House with refuse to serve as a deterrent to others.

“COSEYL, after a meeting of her members over the unfortunate and unguided statement by the Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Soludo over Mr Peter Obi’s presidential ambition, has decided to bring him back to his senses by declaring Friday 25 November 2022 as a day where all Anambrians will carry their refuse, debris and dump them at the gate of Anambra State Government House.

“The Igbo nation is a big and blessed nation that should not be toyed with by one single individual. That Soludo is the governor of Anambra State today is not of his making but is the making of God using Anambra people to vote him into office.
