ANSG organizes workshop for Entrepreneurship Development Institutes

THE Anambra State Government in collaboration with UNIZIK Business School has conducted a two days training for Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (EDIs) who will facilitate the 1 youth 2 skills program.

In his address, the state Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba said that the “one youth two skills” program was designed to mitigate the unemployment challenges facing the Youths and to eliminate crimes in the state.

He explained that the EDIs would serve as trainers for 5000 youths selected across the 21 LGAs in the pilot phase of the program, adding that the pilot phase would be expected to create over 130,000 jobs and millionaires.

Presenting the certificate to the participants, the Deputy Director Unizik Business School Awka, Prof. Chinedu Onyeizugbe said that having gone through the processes of learning, that they are now ready to be certified for the next phase of the program where they will all be deployed to the LGAs for the training of the trainees on Entrepreneurship Skills.

He added that the Unizik Business School is poised to support the state government in making Anambra Youths great, commending the Governor for making this a reality for Ndị Anambra.

The Head of Department (HOD), Marketing Department, Dr. Promise Chika Oparah who took them on sales and marketing said that the course would provide the participants with the critical knowledge, skills and attributes required to aiding entrepreneurs in working through objections effectively helps to convert prospects into sales adding that marketing is the bread winner of any organization.

One of the participants, Mr. Chinemerem Oguegbe commended Mr. Governor for his good plans for Anambra youths, saying that the training has been awesome and also promised to impact the knowledge to the trainees.

Some of the participants expressed their joy for the opportunity to be part of the workshop and thanked Gov. Soludo for his laudable efforts in shaping Anambra youths to be able to succeed as business owners like prominent business men in the State.
