THE Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is currently holding a rally across Ado Ekiti, the state capital, to celebrate the return of President Muhammadu Buhari to the country from medical vacation of more than 100 days.
The rally has shut down Ado-Ekiti as participants throw jibes at Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, apparently for his utterances against the president during his stay in London on medical vacation. Fayose had variously told the nation that the president was too incapacitated to return to the country. At another point he said the president was on a life supporting machine.
Buahri had left for London, United Kingdom on May 5, to continue his medical vacation which started sometime last year. He returned to the country unannounced on Saturday, August 19.
