A leading support group of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Alliance Network for Democracy, has congratulated Stella Okotete on the occasion of her 40th birthday anniversary.
In a statement in Abuja on Saturday by the national coordinator of the group, Ozurumba Ekwesiocha, the group stated that Okotete is a young amazon, who has distinguished herself in several fields of human endeavours.
At the local government level, Okotete was once elected Councillor in Ughelli-North Local Government Area of Delta State between 2008 and 2011.
At the state level, she was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Millennium Development Goals, MDGs, now known as, SDG, between 2011 and 2015.
At the Federal level, she was once the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC.
She was also nominated into the 2023 Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Transition/Inauguration Committee to head the Secretariat, Planning and Monitoring Committee.
As the Executive Director in charge of Business Development at the Nigerian Export and Import Bank, NEXIM-Bank, before her ministerial nomination in 2023 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Okotete has promoted the application of local contents in ways and manners, which have turned many manufacturers into exporters.
In all the positions she has held so far, Okotete has never been found wanting in the discharge of her official duties as she had always maintained decorum, self-respect, transparency and accountability both in her private and public conducts.
“Interestingly, one unique quality of Okotete that has enthralled many party stalwarts is her strength of character and ability to forgive no matter the wound.
“It is worthy of note that despite the unsuccessful ministerial screening last year, Okotete has remained unshakably committed to the growth of the party as she has maintained her financial supports to the party’s affairs across the country.
“Her loyalty to President Tinubu’s government is unprecedentedly high as she has sponsored many outreach programmes aimed at selling the policy thrust of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration to Nigerians.
“Because of her discernable loyalty and supports to our great party and the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we have decided to celebrate this young amazon on the occasion of her 40th birthday anniversary,” the statement said.
