APC lauds Gov. Aliyu’s 2024 budgetary allocation to education in Sokoto

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has lauded the state government’s allocation to the education sector in its 2024 budget.

Alhaji Isa Sadiq-Achida, the APC Chairman in the state made the commendation at a news conference in Sokoto on Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the state 2023 budget of N198.5 billion had N36.9 billion allocated to education, while in the 2024 budget of N270.1 billion,  N42.8 billion was allocated to education.

The APC chairman described  the gesture as a strong indication of  Aliyu’s determination toward investing in the future of Sokoto’s children for the benefit of posterity.

Sadiq-Achida congratulated the governor on his 54th birthday and praised the residents  for electing a committed leader,  dedicated to elevating the state to the next level.

“Aliyu has consistently demonstrated his commitment by staying close to the people, understanding their needs, and actively addressing them.

“We sincerely thank the governor for proving skeptics wrong. His remarkable performance in the past seven months underscores the potential of our state to become a model for others.

“In this short period, Aliyu has revitalised Sokoto city with improved infrastructure, including roads, sanitation, water supply, and the installation of solar street lights,” he said.

The APC boss emphasised that the people of the state had witnessed  Aliyu’s numerous abilities, evident in his exceptional governance.

He urged the opposition parties in the state to accept the governor’s hand of cooperation, encouraging the importance of working together for the betterment of Sokoto and future generations.
