THE All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje has condoled the family of late Malam Abdullahi Yakubu, the correspondent of Leadership Newspaper in Kano and the Nigerian Union Journalists (NUJ).

Yakubu died on Friday in Kano following a protracted illness.

Ganduje in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by his Chief of Staff, Malam Muhammad Garba, also sympathised with the Kano State chapter of the NUJ and the Kano State Correspondence Chapel over the demise of the journalist.

Garba quoted the former Kano governor as saying: “Words cannot express how saddened he  felt when he learnt of the passing of the hardworking journalist who contributed immensely to the growth of our dear state.”

He described the loss of the veteran journalist as a big loss to Kano State and the entire northern Nigeria.

Ganduje also prayed that Almighty Allah grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of their pillar of support.

The former governor added: “May Allah grant him Aljana Firdausi.”
