OSUN State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, on Sunday said with the All Progressives Congress having absolute majority in the legislature, his administration will fast-track the state’s development agenda.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Adeniyi Adesina, the governor, who hailed the people for voting candidates of the APC in Saturday’s House of Assembly election, said with the support of the House of Assembly, “there will be no inhibition for the government to deliver democracy dividends.”
APC won 22 out of 25 Assembly seats in the assembly election result that was declared on Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The statement read, “The outcome of the House of Assembly election is further proof of the popularity of our party in this state. It shows that nobody can describe our victory in previous elections as a fluke.
“Already, we have started a massive road rehabilitation across major towns; the grading of critical rural roads is ongoing.
“We have also flagged off revitalisation of nine major secondary hospitals and 332 primary health care centres — one per ward — to take health care to our people at the grass roots.” – Punch
