The Peoples Democratic Party has asked the All Progressives Grand Alliance to look inward in solving the crisis in the Anambra State House of Assembly and stop blaming outsiders.
The Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Anambra State, Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu, stated this while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
APGA had accused the PDP of masterminding the crisis in Anambra Assembly.
The Anambra State House of Assembly dominated by APGA on 13th of November allegedly impeached the Speaker of the house, Rita Maduagwu, and replaced her with Ikem Uzoezie.
This culminated in the sealing of the Assembly complex by the police since November 13.
APGA had alleged that the purpose of the assembly crisis was to impeach the state governor, Willie Obiano by making the state ungovernable.
Obiano has been so close with the Federal Government of the All Progressives Congress in recent times heightening apprehension in some quarters that he might work against the interest of the PDP in the state in next year’s elections where his predecessor, Peter Obi, is a running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
But Nwangwu on Wednesday described APGA’s allegation as ridiculous and unfounded, adding that the party was suffering from internal bleeding, resulting from its ” skewed primaries.”
