A group under the aegis of Lafia Unity and Progressive Forum has condemned alleged inciting utterances against Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa over appointments in the state.
Dahiru Musa, spokesperson of the group stated this at a news conference on Wednesday in Lafia.
Musa said the group noted with dismay, a video by someone purportedly speaking on behalf of the people of Lafia, alleging lopsidedness in the appointments by the governor.
He maintained that Gov. Sule had demonstrated inclusiveness and fairness with the appointment of people from the 13 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.
According to the group, the governor has been generous to the people of Lafia with the appointment of the Secretary to the State Government, three Commissioners among other positions in his administration.
“The inciting utterances are a figment of the wild imaginations of the makers, it is meant to gain cheap popularity. We therefore distant ourselves from everything contained in the video.
“The good people of Lafia highly appreciates the generosity of the Governo Sule-led administration’s fair distribution of appointments and developmental projects across all local government areas,” Musa said.
He, therefore, on behalf of the people of Lafia assured the governor of their support to ensure the success of his administration. (NAN).
