VALERIAN Okeke, Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, on November 2, urged faithful to live prayerful life, worthy of impacting positively on lives of seminarians.
Okeke gave the charge at the All Hallows’ Seminary, Onitsha, where he harped on the need for parents, teachers and family members to assist seminarians to achieve their life set goals.
“It is the responsibility of parents and all family members to help to raise priests, who will stand in to fill the gap, in a bid to complete that which Christ started,’’ Okeke said.
He said that humility, discipline, self control, and life of prayers were the prerequisites for righteous life.
Okeke, then, enjoined the seminarians to help their parents at home whenever on holidays.
“The seminary is a place where those who will take after Christ are trained; therefore, you must ensure that seminarians live the life of Christ,’’ the Archbishop said.
