THERE appears more excitement infused in Beach Games than in the traditional ones.

Beach Games provide such excitement never really associated with such games as beach volleyball, frisbee, sandcastle building, and water sports.

They present an energetic and lively atmosphere for Beachgoers and it makes it a perfect choice for youths, who seek adventure and thrill.

Families also find Beach Games appealing because it offers a range of activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Parents can bond with their children while participating in friendly competitions, creating lasting memories together.

Moreover, the beach provides a natural playground, where children can freely play and explore while their parents relax and soak up the sun.

Unlike traditional sports, Beach Games offer a more relaxing and casual environment, which is often preferred by individuals who want to have fun without the pressure of intense competition.

This laid-back atmosphere encourages people to let loose, be themselves, and enjoy the experience to the fullest.

Furthermore, the beach itself adds a dramatic and scenic backdrop to the games.

The sound of crashing waves, the warm sand beneath your feet, and the refreshing ocean breeze create a sensory experience that enhances the overall enjoyment of the games.

Such natural elements make Beach Games a unique and immersive experience that cannot be replicated in other settings.

Beach Games hold a strong attraction for both youths and families due to their fun-filled, stress-free, and dramatic nature.

These games provide an opportunity for people to compete with ease and excitement, creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Whether it’s the thrill-seeking youth or the bonding families, Beach Games is a sure way to make the most of a beach day.

Ms Hazel Kenedy, Vice President Zambia Olympic Committee thinks otherwise.

‘’I prefer traditional Games, maybe it has existed for much longer and many have become more accustomed.

‘’The new Games have just come. This is the second edition, it has its challenges. Watching new Games like Tecqball presents some excitement.

‘’But it has afforded countries with Beaches opportunities to put to use their God-given natural endowments.

An official from Lesotho, Morake Lakeae also prefers traditional sports.

According to him, the Beach Games have rules which in some cases are abridged versions that are becoming universally understood by the youthful population,

However, a female Burkinabe Television Journalist, Christel Pare shows more preference for Beach Games saying that it appears to be the way to the future.

She observed that a relatively new sport is an easier and more fun way of accomplishing difficult tasks.

The younger generation appears more adapted to it.

She notes that It takes a variable way of averting tension that is more associated with the traditional effort.

Its facilities are cheaper and more improvising.

‘’Some countries are naturally more endowed with their environment than others.

The Deputy Sec-Gen of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Mallam Mohammed Abdulahi notes that the Beach Games appear to be catering for people living within the Coastline with limited access to unconventional facilities.

‘’It’s like taking sports to the grassroots. Those developing this should be praised for catering for the hitherto denied. I am happy that Africa has followed suit.

‘’People now have an opportunity to adopt professionalism just like the rest of the world.

‘’The fact that Nigeriademonance is alright move. This a good omen that President Bola Ahmed has supported Team Nigeria.

Nigeria has given a good account of their presence here. Whichever way one looks at it the beach or the traditional, they both offer a range of challenges hither lacking either way.

Each makes up where the other is lacking. It is the sportsmen and women that are provided with limitless opportunities. It is a win-win situation.
