THE Anambra State Road Maintenance Agency, ARMA, has attributed the existence of potholes in some roads in state to stresses and strains by heavy duty trucks.

The Agency, however, expressed their preparedness to ensure zero potholes on roads in Anambra State,

Speaking to the media in Awka on activities of the Road Maintenance Agency, Chibuzor Okafor, Anambra Central Zonal Co-ordinator on operation zero potholes, said the rehabilitation of Anambra State roads was a continuous process.

He assured that once potholes were identified, the outfit would mobilise for their immediate refilling.

Okafor, explained that once asphalt was applied on a pothole, it was expected to last for 24 hours before being subjected to use but blamed many motorists for flacking in patience to give repaired portions time to dry, before plying on them.
