FORMER Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described the death of Pastor Patience Eno, the wife of the Akwa-Ibom governor, as devastating.

Abubakar in a statement by His Media Adviser Paul Ibe in Abuja, described late  Eno, who died on Friday, as a remarkable woman who gave her best in the service of humanity and her family.

He sympathised with the family of Gov. Umo Eno, the government and people of Akwa-Ibom over the demise of the first lady.

Sharing in the grief of the Akwa-Ibom people, Abubakar urged governor Eno to stand firm in the belief that his beloved wife has only gone to rest in a place of eternal peace.

While praying for the gentle repose of Mrs Eno’s soul, Abubakar said that he stood with the governor and his people at the difficult time.(NAN)
